Mike
Mike began working on aircraft while attending Reedley College from 1967 through 1969, when he received his A&P license. After graduation, he worked full-time for several aircraft maintenance companies, in addition to Cessna and Piper dealerships. He is experienced performing maintenance on all types of aircraft, including antique, Mooney, Piper, Cessna, Beechcraft, piston and turbine, and some helicopter. Mike received his Inspection Authorization license in early 1973, and became a licensed pilot in 1974. He began his own maintenance shop in 1978, and has been a business owner ever since. Mike moved his shop to Madera in 1992, and fell in love with the airport, pilots and other customers. He wishes to remain active in the aviation business, and continues to work as an A&P and IA for Red-Tail Aviation, and manages fuel sales for Bode Enterprises.
Kerry
Kerry got his start in aviation in 1972, when he attended A&P classes at Reedley College. He began flying in 1973, and received his pilot’s license in July of 1975. He has owned both a Citabria 7KCAB and a Cessna T210, and enjoys flying whenever he can. With 35 years of experience in the manufacturing business as both a general manager and an owner, Kerry is an invaluable asset to Red-Tail Aviation, applying both his knowledge and skills to better serve customers and their aircraft. Kerry joined the Red-Tail team in April of 2013, and works as an A&P alongside Mike and the rest of the crew.
Lauren
Lauren started her aviation career in 2005, when she was hired on as Mike’s secretary at Bode Enterprises. She worked at the shop part-time for several years while attending Fresno State, and now devotes herself full-time to running the office for both Red-Tail Aviation and Bode Enterprises. The most important part of her job is keeping records of AD Notes and aircraft inspections, due dates and times. Lauren is responsible for finding and ordering parts, and handles all paperwork and accounts. She is also in charge of keeping the fuel tanks full and keeping an eye on the guys in the shop, ensuring that customers’ aircraft are delivered clean, airworthy and on time.
